The Lord Murugan Vel with Peacock Pendant Gold Layered pairs the sacred vel (spear) of Lord Murugan with his divine mount, the peacock, in one slender sculpted pendant.
The leaf-shaped head of the vel sits at the top, engraved with fine markings, with the peacock perched against its shaft – its neck gracefully curved and its long tail falling below in dense, finely textured feathers. No stones are set anywhere on the piece, keeping the focus on the detailed metal sculpting. A small ring joins the vel to a plain bail that holds the pendant straight and centred on the curb chain included.
